I ought to put it up. My spam filter is picking out about 100 spams a day. It still lets 4 or 5 through to my in box. All I am doing is making it hard for yall to send me admiring letters!

Amen Mike- same reason I don't list mine-I get some of the goofy Nigerian bank check "offers' and a few "lewd ladies" peddling God knows what- I send them to the junk pile and hit the "phising reporting key"- after that, who knows where they go- worst than the frickin' telemarketers that always call at dinner time- friend of mine works for Verizon has the remedy for that- keeps his phone volume up to max at evening time- and a large soup kettle with a fitted lid handy- as soon as they start their pitch- he puts the cordless phone set into the kettle and sets the lid on tight- Works like a charm!!

My email is set up thru Cox Communications and I use McAfee as my virus,spyware etc. control. As a matter of fact; I get a MaAfee warning every time I connect to this forum.  I've reported it but nothing has changed. Jim

I voted yes because I'm in the camp of those who want the PM function fixed on this site. Dave does a great job that I really appreciate, but I've wondered why the Pm's haven't worked right since the site change over.
I don't like posting my e-mail or my phone # simply because this is the Internet and anything can happen when you post information like this in cyberspace.
Almost hit the no button though when I thought back to the post about when a granddaughter was trying to sell grandpa's DHE-28ga Parker and the craziness that went on with that one.

That "Grandpa's Gun" post is living proof, 1000 times over, why allowing irrelevant comments on for sale ads is such a terribly bad idea. I'm sorry to see the way the vote is going.
Would it be possible, Dave, to officially ask for the replies to be limited to actual questions and comments about the item listed for sale? Our most frequent PITA is quick to point out the rules to everyone else.
Thanks to the ignore function, I no longer have to read the oral diarrhea from the few AH's who make a career out of making the site miserable for the majority of us.

I only voted yes because the PM function won't work reliably. Exactly.... I think not allowing online negotiations or replies for sale ads will hurt a guys chances of selling a gun. I don't like all the "BTT" bull that some sellers do...looks kind of selfish to me. For every "BTT" they do they should send Dave an extra 2 bucks. jOe, Looks like you talk out of both sides of your mouth since you used the " BTT " this morning to send your listing to the top ! ! Looks like you owe Dave $2
