I was there last year and don't remember a beer that was specific to Frankfurt. IMO Almost any of the local beers are excellent if you can get them on tap. One thing for sure I'd recommend trying is the pork knuckles with dumplings which is a Bavarian specialty There is a really interesting museum about Frankfurt which is in the downtown area right along the river. The diorama in this museum showing the devastation during the war is a sight to behold. One of the amazing things to me while touring Germany is the truly excellent job they have done rebuilding.
