Big John, I'm a bit exasperated. You asked a simple question and you got a straightforward answer for solving your problem. There was no risk in trying to solve it other than about 30 minutes of your time, some cleaner, and some oil. But you decided to do nothing and send the gun off for repairs. What did you expect to hear when you posted your question? Some magic words to whisper over the safety to make it work? Guns are a BIT more complicated than that, but there're not rocket science. Did Dick scare you off with his comment about the safety? He's simply wrong; I've had six Supers for 25 years and EVERY one of them allows the barrel to be selected with the safety in the off postition. Next time you think about asking a question, consider whether you really want an answer. There, I feel better already.
