The 'Belgian Army' has been here for decent amount of time. In swamps of NC there is an outfit named "Blackwater" with 20k+ men recruited from military men all over the world. They even have 'CIA' like intel component located on some carribean island. This is just one of many outfits on US soil. These private armies for hire uphold the law of whoever pays the most. PS. When these hombres show up at the door it's time to hand them guns over, or......BIGGGG

Just telling it like it is, chopperlump. What did people do when the Clinton- Brady bunch imposed all of their regulations? Nothing anyone could do. And wasn't it LaPierre that called Bush's ATF a bunch of thugs, then went and apologized? I don't know why he apologized. That's all they are half the time. So like I said, one day people are going to have to ask themselves if they are prepared to go to prison or die for what they believe in. It's like Jessie Ventura said a few nights ago on Jay Leno- if the politicians did to us out in the private sector what they are doing right now, they'd be in prison. And the one thing that was the greatest fear of John Adams was a two party system running this country.

I hate to say it but Jimmy hit the nail on the head concerning the supposed alternatives available in the two-party system regarding gun control. John Sigler (who lives in Dover, DE by the way) warns in a recent column not to be taken in by the AHSA's disinformation about Obama's parsing of the 2nd Amendment. His alledged sympathy for hunters and target shooters doesn't extend to weapons for self-defense given his voting record in the Illinois legislature.

I'm glad you guys have it figured out. I haven't. As a result of the ruling, there will be challenges where laws are similar or the same as Washington's hitherto ban i.e. California and New York states, San Francisco and Chicago. But most state and city gun laws will survive the court ruling. The Court ruled that the Constitution allowed regulating the use of firearms but not banning them, right?
As for the "victory" being good for 60-70 years, it will be interesting to see how future Supreme Courts handle individual rights being constrained by community rights in issues of public safety, with liberal judges being appointed by a looming Democratic hegemony and justices Stevens and Ginsburg now 88 and 75 respectively. I raise a beer but wouldn't let my guard down.

Amen to that Chopper Lump- from my cold dead fingers- The BATF goons-the MI native former SEALs team leader- Eric Prince-founded Blackwater Security-has "bodyguard contracts" for the US in "The Sandbox" but be extra cautious when you deal with mercenaries-their loyalties may not always been towards the USA-I see a long road ahead, many legal battles, and the "anti's" aren't going to fold their tents and disappear--how can any adult think that the criminal element will comply with existing gun laws-misguided "do-gooders" have sure wrecked havoc with our lives and "Fubared" the USA big-time!!

The socialist liberals can't afford to have Blackwater knocking down doors of law abiding Americans to take our guns.I know a couple guys who work for "outside contactors" and they go where the $$ is. There may well be another revolution but they will have trouble getting the guns from out cold dead hands.
Never register them, never let anyone tell you they will take them from us without a fight.
Osama-Obama will try if we let him.Don't let him or else......

Keep the money flowing to the NRA. Our enemys are not going away. We have just taken some wind out of their sails. Hopefully they will lose some of their money and support. I saw the head of Brady on Fox news after the news came out and said that reasonable restrictions were OK. My idea and your idea of reasonable restrictions are vastly diffrent than their ideas. Expect another assault gun fight especially if Obomma gets elected. Also their dream of registration and licensing will be the first fight to come. I was very dissapointed that the decision was 5-4 in our favor and not higher in our favor. That tells me that we have 4 COMMUNIST sitting on our Supreme Court. You reallly have to come up with some distorted veiws of history of this subject to not agree that this is an individual right. I will never register any guns that they don't already know that I have.

I hope that all gun owners realized that a 5-4 decision could be overturned if Obama is elected. He'll just need to appoint 1 liberal Justice to the Court.

Didn't mean to be holier than thou, but one day, long after I am gone, people may have to fight for their rights no matter what the Supreme Court says. Howard Metzenbaum is one considered for the VP job under Obama. He was the SOB who pushed for ANY semi-automatic to be outlawed clear back in the 70s (a Democrat)from here in Ohio. The woman Governor (can't think of her name or state) out in the midwest right now who also is being considered- her father was Governor of Ohio back in the 70s (Celeste) is another anti-gunner. I was also one to stand by and watch as they tried to wittle away our rights for the past 40 years. We all were. So people will have to stay on their toes from now on. Don't go lax because of some ruling.
