eightbore Sidelock Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 14,455 Likes: 278 Maryland	Yup, depends on the state. Read the book. Many states will allow you to carry an eight for ruffed grouse or squirrel. I'm not sure about tame mallards but I would like to shoot a bunch of them at long range with an eight.

I'm not a big hunter so I haven't pursued it much. What on Earth would I do with a turkey if I did kill it? Hopefully there'd be someone around who wanted it so I could run off to Rudy's and get a barbecued turkey sandwich.
