I came across this old photo in an antique shop and thought you would be interested.
Judging by their clothing, they certainly weren't headed for a day in the field. Probably taken at a trap or pigeon shoot that that they went to with their husbands. Take a look at the fur coat on the lady on the far left in the front row. I count 6 model 12's, 2 single shot's, 1 Remington Model 8 and 2 SxS's. The double in the back row appears to maybe be an L.C. Smith. I can't identify the one in the front row.
Enjoy,
Gordon

What I like most is their dress. These are 11 women out to do some shooting. Or, they could pack away those guns and go shopping.

Today, if you had 11 women with guns (and you wouldn't), they'd be all part of some special squad and they'd be wearing shooting vests, tinted glasses, special boots, etc.

Great photo!! Dosen't look like any of these gals were members of PETA!!

I count three Winchester Model 12s, two on the right end of the back row and one at the left end of the front row. The next gal in in the front row has a "Remington Autoloading Gun"/Model 11/Browning A5, and the middle gal has a Winchester Model 1897/97. The end of the magazine tube on the gun the gal at the left end of the back row is holding doesn't look right for a Model 12 Winchester. So, maybe a Remington or Marlin?

The Remington in the middle of the back row is either a "Remington Repeating Shotgun", a Model 1908 or a Model 10. The Model 8 was an autoloading rifle. I could go with the double next to the gal with the Model 10 being a Smith.

FYI: There are at least 20 women in the group my wife shoots with. The groups is self defense oriented but very informal. No special vests glasses etc.
BTW: Notice the very "in" snap on rubber recoils pads some of the guns are sporting.

Thanks Researcher
You're right, I should have said Model 10, not Model 8. I thought the one in the center of the bottom row might be a Mod 97. With all the hats and fur coats, the photo must have been taken in the fall.
Regarding the snap on rubber recoil pads, those are the guns we see at gun shows today and wish they hadn't ruined the finish under the pad.

Anybody notice the only "Hot Babe" is in the back row- 2nd. one from left- holding a "Perfect Repeater" and the 6 gals in the back are all pointing their gun muzzles up- the five "Femz" in da front have them pointed right about the height of the photographer!!RWTF!!
