Does anyone know anything about the Smith and Wesson Elite double or Connecticut Shotguns RBL shotguns. Would be intersted in any pros or cons on either, any experience with them you can draw from. I contemplating getting one.

That Turkish S&W 2k handles nicely, but some claim it has 8lb trigger pulls. The RBL has pretty wood, but the "engraving" looks dreadful to me. Just check pic of trigger plate on that 28 in 20ga---28ga comparison posting. Looks like cheapo etching of some sort.
I would look for late production (US made) Ithaca Classic Doubles. These (say hand engraved gr. 4) can be found on second hand market for <5k and are nicer guns then Parker Repors or German Merkels of same price point.
