I broke the right MS on my Empire Grade Greener. The gunsmith was unable to locate a new one, but was able put a reapir on the broken one. No telling how long it will last. I'd like to get a couple of back-ups so if/when it breaks I just replace them both & be set for another 60 years....
Does anyone have a lead??

Josh- if you or your 'smith can give me aprox. OAL of coil spring- ID and OD or else thickness of the coil- I may have a spring that would work in one of my "misc. parts cigar boxes"> Advise!!RWTF

I believe the mainspring in Greener is a V spring....these usually need to be made ans fit from bar stock. A knowledgeable double gunsmith should be able to fix you right, but beware....its usually spendy work.

If this becomes a saga, email me and I can supply either from Greener, or one of the 'better' lockmakers.Will need the dimensions though, and I will bring to the Vintagers at Pintail Point in September.

Steve The repiar he put on it was salty, it will probably last longer than I. I just one of those that like to be prepared I guess...
