I had a customer that wanted me to duplicate the stock on his sporting clays O/U on his straight stock Beretta 471. Here is the result. May not suit everyones taste, but here it is.

I like your solution for the checkering pattern...I don't think it's an easy design to integrate a big 'ol handle to a svelte boxlock.

He will certainly use it in the SxS events that are becoming more popular at some of the larger shoots. With the original stock he did well to get 15 out of 25 on a 5 stand, and he broke 24 of 25 the first time he shot it at his clubs 5 stand. Which is the difference between a stock that fits him and one that doesn't.

He'll be in Argentina on Sunday to give it a workout on doves.
