Available immediately in the UK according to a half page advert in this weeks Shooting Times page 56. Anything you want awaiting immediate shipment. Yeah!!
I don't think so, but I would welcome being pleasantly surprised.

Paid in full 5 NOV. 2007. Called yesterday. I was told again it was on the floor. I was told in Jan I would have it Feb. I called in March and was told its on the floor and it will be 6 weeks. I called end of April and was told its on the floor and its 6 weeks. Now I am told its on the floor again. I am scheduled to be activated in August and deploy to Iraq end of the summer. I am asking them for at least an idea if I can get it before I leave and I get no answer.
I am hanging on but I am waiting for the "I told you so guys" that said it would be a repeat of the 20 RBL.

I always thought "on the floor" meant a lot of stuff large and small assembled in a location where there was a travelling crane big enuf to pick it up and put it on a freight car. The logistics of moving doubleguns about is pretty simple so maybe the phrase is now short for "Just throw it on the floor and start jamming another one together". Oh well, Galazan me once, etc.

Look at the Gold Label, appears no more will be made by Ruger. At least CSMC finished/is finishing its run of 20's. I worked for many different manufacturers for 35 years and never remember a new product ever meeting its expected shipment date "if it was announced in advance" "with an expected availability/shipment date". The only way to actually achieve this is to have an initial large supply already made sitting on the shelves before you announce it, but few manufacturers can resist the marketing urge to announce in advance.

As Researcher says, Tony displays the new 28 gauge at every show where CSMC exhibits. There were several at the Northeastern Side by Side Shoot last month, and there was at least one at the Greenwich Show in January. I don't remember whether any at the Northeastern were for sale, but I think they all were. My opinion of the gun is that it is a great handling gun and quite different from the 20 gauge. The 30" version is something I would use a lot since a 28 gauge long barrel older American gun is hard to find.
