I have been asked by a friend to value a late 40s early 50s Cosmi field grade, 12 gauge.I have seen some advertised for around 4k. The gun is in very good condition, no rust or pits and mirror bore. I suggested he advertise it on Gunbroker for 2-3k as a starting bid and see what happens. Did I undervalue the gun? Thanks and kindest regards

Probably did undervalue it but gunbroker will bring out its true value. Maybe you could post pictures on the guns for sale section and get a better idea and maybe some offers.

The gun actually belongs to his father. I have some pix, but not of good quality. I have asked for additional pix. Thanks for your input, as I do not see any currently being advertised and was relying memory, a notoriously bad move.
