Over the years I've had a number of fine rifles, the bests of the lot - a Westley double in 360, and a 318 Coggie magazine rifle. A wave of patriotism has come over me, I've just added a Cooper rimfire to go with my Kimber.
These new Americans, are every bit as good, in every department as the Brits and better than my old ill-fitted and barnwood stocked Anschutz 1710.
I think these guys are onto something, and me, crows 'n cans!

Before the Coopers and Kimbers were the 52 Winnies,37 Remingtons,

Late perhaps, but more important - I've have put some bucks into the till of a couple of modern American makers.
Patina on rustic, is still rustic!

Lowell - I have a Kimber .22 Classic, which, despite the phenominal test target included with the rifle (5 shots into 1/8"), is not as accurate for me as I was expecting. 5 shots into 3/4" at 50 yds is the best the gun will do despite me having tried around 20 brands of ammo.
Could you comment on how your Cooper .22 compares to the Kimber .22 for accuracy?
