Do any of you guys have any problems with Webley and Scott ejectors? I have a pair of Webleys and for the second time the little alignment pins at the top of the ejector blades has broken in the hole. The pins keep the ejector blades in place and are only 5/64 diameter. When these pins break the broken pin is not easy to get out but it is dooable. I got the pin out today and now have to get the rest of the pin out of the ejector blade. It looks like this one was threaded into the ejector blade but the new one will most likely be silver soldered.
Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem.
Thank You, Gordon

If you mean the retaining pin for the cocking dogs on a model 700(either side of the action bar). Yes, it is very common. The repair requires removal of the bottom plate and the fiting of stop-pins from below. Not expensive.

Not the cocking dogs. The small 5/64ths pin on top of the ejector blades that keep the ejector in place so it doesn't get bent when the gun gets closed.

Gordon,Not normally a problem, Did you use the correct material earlier? Could you post a photograph? Someone here will have an idea or modified something to improve the situation, although as I said they are not normally troublesome unless you have replaced them with 'monkey metal'.

In looking at the broken pin I am wondering about the alignment of the pins in the first place. There are weat patterns on both guns that seem inconsistant. Worn on the top at one end and not on the other. If the holes were not drilled straight in the first place this will be an ongoing problem. I think I need to do some checking before I go into another fix to just have it happen again.
Thank you for the input.
Regards, Gordo
