Anyone examine the John Robertson by Boss 20ga guns for sale for $17,000. I mean actually handled one. If so, what do you think?

Errr .. pray tell, what "Birmingham factory" does Boss have? If they have it, when did they buy it? And what for? To make a handful of these things?

Moreover, what Birmingham factory does Boss have with CNC equipment?

The only Birmingham factory with CNC I know of making guns is Westley Richards.

The new Robertsons I've seen were hardly up to new Westley standards.

Isn't Boss & Co now owned by the consortium that owns Heckler Koch, which owns Merkel?

What good is a LOP of 15.125"? It just guarantees you'd have to get out the chop saw first thing. At $17K I expect to have some custom order-ability.

Those dimensions fit me fine, thank you, though it is needlessly heavy for a 20-gauge.

Gregy, think of the Robertson as nothing more than a poor man's up-graded Parker. It'll make you feel better, when you come to grips that there isn't a 100K in your bank account for the real things.

I've handled them and was pleased with what I saw and felt.
Yes, Boss is owned by the the same people of the HK consortium, and I was told that the barrels for the Robertson are unashamedly made in Germany.
I wouldn't be put off by where the barrels are made, most gun-makers outsource, but are very reluctant to admit it.
