Recently acquired as a gift a project (abused neglect of external right bbl up toward the muzzle) sxs, but I know nothing about the gun. It is blued with a pweter colored action, stamped engraving, evidence of left side wear of the engraving, no serial numbers...just some letters on the water table.

I can't find information, although I'm sure it's out there, somewhere, about when it might have been made and any other information; it has a bevertail forearm, with rubber recoil pad (truss like construction).

If I'm off base for this inquiry, please excuse.

The BDE was made by Savage Arms Co. in 1965 and 66. Just another version of the Fox Model B. A nice utility grade double. In VG shape it would bring 4-500. Beginning in 1968--all guns had to have serial numbers.
