If all capital letters it occurs to me the "C" in LINC could be a "G" and then you have just a misrolled STERLINGWORTH.
Mike, by golly you are correct.
...
LINGWORT
H is 0.580 x 0.050
... STERLINGWORTH is 0.860 x 0.050 (same dimensions compared to 2 other guns)
When I mic'd the length of the
LINGWORT
H, and compared the letters to the length of STER
LINGWORTH - exact match in distance.

The stamping on the other side of the receiver is the same deep stamping on this gun. My others are the normal light roll stamp v the deep stamp on this one
Do want to thank you for your investigative creativity!
Regards
John
PS: This Ansley Sterlingworth was a new purchase this week: mirror bores - 98% bluing and 60% case hardening - but with a buggered wrist stock repair and tight as a bunged drum... for $325
