I am in the process of writing a small article for the German Gun Collector publication on Prussian Daly Single Barrel Trap (SBT) guns and need some photos. I already have high-quality photos of the sextuple models as well as images of the period catalog information. What I need are a few photos of the "standard" Daly SBT. The standard model is mostly easily distinguished by it lock-up - double Purdey underbolt and a dolls head extension.
On the positive side, I am willing to split my profits from this venture 50/50 for those who provide photos. The down side is that I will not be receiving compensation for the article and so the profit is expected to be zero. :-) Then again, you would garner everlasting fame in the photo credits and I'm sure a gratis copy of the Journal as well.
The photos do need to be of high-quality, but this is not beyond what can be done fairly easily with a good quality digital camera and a litte work. I can provide details on what views of the gun I'm looking for. Anyone willing to contribute can contact me at kkgeorgi@comcast.net.
Thanks, Ken

Ken: Do you have pics of both the sextuple Lindner and Schuler? I have a boy size SB that has the dolls head but think it may have not originally been built for trap. The safety slide slot was plugged, making it to have no safety. Best, John

I would still like to see pictures of John Mann's single barrel Lindner with safety. How long is the barrel and how much choke does it have, John?

Ken,
I can't help you with photos, but simply wanted to tell you that your mention of the GGCA has finally prompted action on my part to join! I had a very good friend, Ron Ehlert, who had wanted me to join for some time, but I never got around to it since my interests were in different directions. Sadly, Ron passed away about a year ago, but less than a week before his untimely death he sent me an autographed copy of "SteinsShloss-Yaegerbuchsen" with instructions that my payment would be simply to join the GGCA! Your request for photos has triggered me into paying a debt due!THANKS!

I have a series of photos of a Lindner SBT that I took about three years ago. I had previously edited them for file size and sent to John Mann, but I may be able to find the full resolution originals. I think they were done with a 3.2 megapixel camera and fixed focus lens. Let me know if you are interested.

Frank, Replacement, StormsGSP,
I'd love to see the pictures, please send them along if you have them easily available. Chris was going to pursue some photos also. I need to complete the article and submit it along with the photos, captions, credits, etc. in the next 30 days. So that is the time frame I'm working with. I appreciate your interest and support.
Woodsrunner38,
Glad to hear you have joined the GGCA. There are efforts in the works to work with the GGCA to represent Prussian Daly enthusiasts. Stay tuned for more word on that topic.

eightbore: Sorry to be late to the party. All my Daly SBTs are 32 inch and full choke. It might interest those that know the Daly guns but have not seen and SBT guns, the early ones had dolls head extensions. Then there were the Sextuple guns. This means that there are six lock ups. Say Bank vault!! The Lindner gun differs only in the stock from the Schuler gun. The Schuler had a Monte Carlo butt where the Lindner does not. No other difference at all. The Schuler was just after Lindner's retirement and most probably built with Lindner's concurrence and possibly from his parts. Hope this helps. Best, John
