I had a "pointing lab" when I was much younger. Pointed naturally and self taught to hold birds just until the gunners were ready and in range. I also swear, he consistently pointed rooster pheasants and not hens. Retrieved and swam like any other good lab.
Anyway, thanks for the nice pictures and please tell us about the pointing labs.

Indiana is home...
Cooper is 17 mos, chesapeake bay retriever. Hes got his first official duck season under his belt. He made 100s of retrieves this fall/winter. The awards are from an UKC Hunting Retriever Club Upland Hunt Test a couple weekends ago.
