Has anybody seen one in real life? I read about them in a SSM from '04 and they seem very ingenious in their conception. I wonder how they handle and how they are to open/load/close...

I've handled and shot one. It is an amazing design, pretty much no way for it to shoot loose. It is a little awkward to open and close at first and I didn't like the safety. Also the lack of ejectors bothered me more than my friend because I kept wanting to pull the empties out with my hand and he just tipped and dumped which is what you are supposed to do.

Neat gun but I probably wouldn't buy one for what they go for.

I've seen and shot one in double rifle. Wonderful crafting.

Finely wrought and ingenious. I think they feel bulky but are weighted okay.

I understand the design allows for a vierling combination.
How much do they go for?
