I have a new leather case and I have a new gunmaker trade label. Now, is there a trick to installing/applying/affixing it to the inside of the case lid? I know I've seen the instructions online somewhere, but didn't need them at the time, now I need them and can't find them. What say ye?

3M's Photomount adhesive works well. Will not bleed through the paper.

Use the label as a template to mark off an area (a bit smaller than the label) on the felt inside of the case to mask off, that will be exposed to spray adhesive, only the felt that will be behind the label (use newspaper masked to the tape border you made to cover the rest of the case from overspray). Use 3M Super 77 Multipurpose Adhesive spray. Use a quality masking tape and remove it right after you spray. Follow the directions on the can (I spray both surfaces). BE CAREFUL OF OVERSPRAY! If you get the adhesive on the front of the label or on felt where you can see it, you will be very unhappy! Maybe practice with some old scraps of fabric first. Good luck!
