Gentlemen could anyone advise experience or information regarding loading hevishot for black powder and damascus use. I have been researching old threads but most info seems to negate experience and only provide hear say. If anyone out there is using it please provide your findings and load information. I would like to get back to using my 10 ga. Elsie on waterfowl.

I wouldn't use Hevishot in an older double. That stuff is harder then the barrel steel. They do make a newer version that is a little softer and they claim safe for older doubles called "Hevi-duck. I have been using Ecotungsten which is similar to lead, but slightly harder. You can do a search on it and order straight from them I think that RST uses it in their new waterfowl loads.
