Looked at an old T Bland ans Son London "The Keepers Gun" engraved on top rib serial No 9916. Origional wood in good condition,good action and locks, barrells outside dirty, inside pitted. Right barrell stamped 14 bore, left barrell stamped 13, Proof marks crossed sceptres bore, 12 in diamond Loin over GP Anyone tell me approx age

T. Bland I believe is sold out of Woodcock Hill as a representtative here in the States now. The crossed septors (1813(inception)-1904) would be an inspection mark for Birmingham. With the diamond, the proofmarks would be in the 1887-1904. From what you've posted, the marks seem to be mixed in time and in proofhouse. There shouldn't be a Lion(over VGP interlaced in a Cypher) unless it went through the London House where the inspection mark would be a crown over V.

Hotrack, If there is a 'Not for Ball" stamped on either or both barrels it is pre 1887. If it has "Choke" stampings it is post 1887
Serial number would be helpful.

Not sure how I missed the serial number in your first post !!!!!
The gun was made in 1889.
