Origional wood in good condition,good action and locks, barrells outside dirty, inside pitted. Right barrell stamped 14 bore, left barrell stamped 13, Proof marks crossed sceptres bore, 12 in diamond Loin over GP Anyone tell me approx age Hotrack Life is too short to drink cheap wine

The crossed septors (1813(inception)-1904) would be an inspection mark for Birmingham. With the diamond, the proofmarks would be in the 1887-1904. From what you've posted, the marks seem to be mixed in time and in proofhouse. There shouldn't be a Lion(over VGP interlaced in a Cypher) unless it went through the London House where the inspection mark would be a crown over V. If it has "Choke" stampings it is post 1887 Serial number would be helpful. Terry Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought stupid,than open it and confirm.
