Anyone have any experience with Giacomo Sporting. They gave me a fair quote for rebluing a SxS (not a Perazzi).

I use them for strip/relay and sometimes bluing. Good, honest people who produce quality work. Recommended.

I met Giacomo when he was with Perazzi [V.P.?]. This was when they had their U.S. headquarters in Rome N.Y.. P. moved to California but Giacomo stayed near Rome and opened/bought a sporting goods store north of the city. This was sometime in the late seventies. He later bought LeFever Arms [Lee Center N.Y.]from Bob LeFever [Uncle Dans nephew] and Bill Schartz. I shot trap with Bob and pigeons with Bill in the eighties.
If you want to meet Giacomo, go to the Grand American, as I did in 2004. He has gray hair now but one glance at his forearms and you would know that you are looking at a gunsmith.
I know Giacomo to be competent and honest and unlike the old LeFever Arms you can expect to get your gun back in less than a decade.

I have had many dealings with Giacomo in his capacity as a Perazzi gunsmith. He may be the best of the two best Perazzi 'smiths in the US. He is most certainly as fine a person as you will have an opportunity to meet in this life.
JMO of course but you're a meathead if you think any differently

The Trap Discussion Web has a uniform high opinion of him as the person to send your Perazzi to for service.

Just wanted to throw a few words of support for Giacomo. He has worked on my Perazzi's for 20 years, most of which I purchased from him also. His skills as a gunsmith are only surpassed by his integrity.
