I looked at a very nice 16 ga. sidelock o/u tonight. It struck me strange that it had belgium proofs with the notation on the rib "Stogos-Suhl. I assume that was some retailer, but I really wonder why not German proofs. I was unable to find any gunmakers by that name on Littlegun. Rather interesting.

I would suggest that the gun's build date was prior to 1925.
