Anyone know a good source, mail order or otherwise, for pre-printed shotgun pattern sheets? I'm speaking of those that show a target center and a 30-inch circle divided into quadrants or smaller subdivisions. Thanks for any help.

This isn't the direct answer to your question but I'll offer an exoperienced suggestion. Patterns very seldom hit exactly in the center of those pre-printed sheets, making the divisions and other pre-printed sections pretty useless. Better to buy plain paper, on source being Lowe's. They have 36"X 36 yds. rolls of "contactor's paper, for about 7 bucks.

I used large rolls of 'butcher paper' mounted on a roller with a tear off bar for all my initial patterning madness of 40 years ago, but find the plate to be more user friendly today. Its so easy to take a digital pic., if you want, & too there is the software program that can analyze the digital pics from scanning them or some such designed & sold by Dr. Jones. I don't have his program or orderig info, but would not hesitate to look into it if you are as curious as I was back when. Its beats counting holes by any measurement imaginable.
FWIW, in my paper days, I made plexiglass templates that I could overlay on the pattern using 'eye-balling' for the centering method. One was 30" in dia. & the other 20" .. realized that one does not need the quadrant business to effectively evaluate a pattern, the annular circle is aprox. 50% of the area described by the 30" circle.

I go to the local newspaper printing plant and buy end rolls of news print, 36, 42 & 48" widths and about $5 for a few hundred yards.

Here's what has worked great for me. Go to the office supply store (Office Depot, Staples) and buy an easle pad that has the 1 inch squares printed on the sheets - kind of like large engineering paper. 50 sheets for $12.00. The pads are about 30 inches x 36 inches. You can easily determine how many inches your pattern is off by counting the squares.
