I like 28GA doubles. I have a few, but just cannot get enough. Got to have a dedicated frame. Got to be under 6lbs. Be nice with 26" barrels choked Skeet & IC. Give me exhibition wood with St Grip and Splinter Forend. Oooh, and bone charcoal receiver. I'm going to order one up tomorrow. Nov 1st - a good day to order a special SxS...........

Look at the AYA or Merkels. Both may fit your bill but watch the weight. I have seen a few heavy one from both but I think they were 28" as seems to be with the longer barrel is better fashion.

Sounds like the description of most 28ga Parker Repros.

One of Tony's rounded frame pinless sidelocks would be nice.

Well, the cats out of the bag. My new 28GA is a CSMC RBL set up as described in my earlier post. It will arrive early 2008. CSMC (Galazan) is to be commended for designing & developing a fine American Double at a very attractive price.

It should be a great handling gun. I like fixed chokes and opted for 26" SK/IC....about the best combination for Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock over pointing dogs. I'm surprised the 28" & 30" barrels are to be choked M/F.
