Here is my question: Does anyone claim that this gun still exists? From the books I have read about his River of Doubt expedition, Roosevelt mentions that "the Fox twelve gauge shotgun"( assuming this is the same gun as the Fox he took to Africa) was lost in the river along with all the other arms taken for the trip. Is that true, or did it miraculously survive?
