In the Southams online timed sale which closed today there was little interest in what had once been an attractive 16 bore by Newton.

It has been sleeved, perhaps no great problem, but also had received an amateur re-stock.

I thought that the stock could possibly be made presentable and was in the lead at £22 with less than an hour to go.

Then our grocery delivery turned up at the front door, and when I got back online it had just closed to a bid by another of £24.

I wish the successful buyer well, and hope that he is better than me in getting projects finished.
