I have for sale a beautiful Merkel Model 47E side by side in 20 gauge. This particular gun comes with 30 inch barrels with improved cylinder and modified chokes with both both bores measuring .627 and right barrel constriction of .008 IC and left at .016 Mod. just as marked on the barrel flats. The barrels also have factory 3 inch chambers which sets this gun up perfectly for Pheasants or even ducks over decoys. Straight English stock with dimensions of 1 1/2 X 2 1/2 X 14 7/16 over the original Merkel butt plate. Stock has slight cast off for the right hand shooter. While we are talking about the stock, please take a look at the attached pictures and see the wood on this gun. I've never owned or seen a Model 47E with wood even close to this stock. I would definitely say it had to be a special order gun to get this grade of wood. The stock also features a splinter forend which matches the butt stock perfectly. The bone and charcoal case coloring on this gun is drop dead gorgeous and in perfect condition as you can see in the pictures. Trigger pulls are crisp and selective ejectors are strong and well timed. Merkels are built tough with the greener crossbolt lockup and are made to be shot. Weight of the gun is a nice 6 pounds 6 ounces. Condition of the gun is excellent with a few light impressions in the wood. There is nothing that detracts from the beauty of this little gun. Price of the gun is $4200 plus $75 shipping to your FFL. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period with the buyer paying shipping charges if returned. Contact me with any questions you might have.
