Damn. This, is a clean old Baker Brush: https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...ker-16-ga-brush-gun.cfm?gun_id=103394524The right gauge, swivel bases are present, cleanest one I’ve ever seen. A friend has a wall hanger, looks as if it may have fought in both world wars, and I always thought the concept was neat. I think he is a decade off on build date, there is no F in the serial number, I’d guess 1910. I think the chokes were advertised as Cylinder and Modified, he is calling one IC. The Baker experts (not me) will fill in the blanks. I have absolutely no connection to this gun, other than I’d love to take it grouse hunting a few times. Best, Ted

Ted, you are right. That is a nice example. Few Batavia Brush guns were in 16 ga., as most were 12 ga. The "Brush" idea created a really nice gun with a straight stock, optional sling swivels, and usually 26" barrels. Yes, it is a great grouse gun, or quail for that matter. There is more information on the Brush and many others on the website noted below.

It's always fun when I learn something here. I'd never heard of a Batavia brush gun before this and it's really pretty neat.
Thankyou Ted!

Serial number is right where it is supposed to be for the Brush gun. I’m just guessing, but, at least 110 years old, and right as rain. $24 or so, back in the day.
My Nitro Special pretty much duplicates this Baker, otherwise, I’d be in.
Best, Ted
