I have worked on boxlocks and sidelocks and can take my Round Action apart and put it back together in minutes but have never worked on a 21. Mine continues to occasionally have a light strike on the left barrel. I have a great gunsmith but thought I should be able to disassemble and clean and maybe check for problems, but without having done one, I wanted to check as there is often some little trick that makes the job much easier.

100 year old gun could be dirty. It's a shame Mitch Schultz up in Connecticut isn't in business any more. I understand Art's in Missouri works on them.

That took a lot of time...
Just building all those parts in CAD was an endevor.
Then animating and rendering...

I've had a bunch of 21's apart. The basic disassembly is pretty straight forward including driving out the pin for the trigger sear levers. The hammers, opening lever & locking bolt are another matter because they take some specialty tooling for compressing the springs. You may want to just take the stock off and then thoroughly clean & lube the action the best you can without disassembling it any further than necessary. If your still getting light strikes after that, I would suspect a broken hammer spring on that barrel. The spring could be broken and still function but could cause light strikes.
