Since I had been up to New Haven, Connecticut a couple of years ago, I have been keeping up with the development of the old Winchester Building and it's renovation. I love seeing old buildings and learning about their history and Winchester has always been very special to me. I thought I would suggest it to those who are unaware of what is going on in New Haven. To me it is delightful reading and seeing what they are doing with the old dilapidated buildings is very interesting. They are converting them into new apartments and it appears they may be using some of the old wood and timbers in the upgrade in such places like the ceiling and walls. I wish I would have been able to pick up a few of the old wood laying around during it's renovation when I was up there. I did manage to pick up several pieces of bricks that had fallen to the ground to bring home and give to my friends here at my club, who are Winchester fans. The progress is ongoing. For those of you who might be interested, all you have to do is Google: WINCHESTER LOFTS and see all of the pictures and there are numerous articles on the internet about the project, the history of the surrounding area and Winchester. Good luck.
