And after sincere thanks to the Almighty, the closing words of Warren Buffet’s 2025 Berkshire Hathaway Thanksgiving letter bear reflection:
“Remember to thank America for maximizing your opportunities. But it is - inevitably - capricious and sometimes venal in distributing its rewards. Choose your heroes very carefully and then emulate them. You will never be perfect, but you can always be better.”

I’m thankful for the family I have and have had through out my life. My late mother always, always, asked if I knew anyone who was alone at Thanksgiving, and told me to invite them to be with us, encouraging us to make room for “strays” at the table.
My divorced and alone friend Ron will be with us for dinner today.
The tradition continues. Thanks, mom. We will miss you, again, this year.

Spent today chasing big game with a buddy. Our combined families had Thanksgiving last week so that we could do this hunt, but I'm glad to hear you all had good days.
