Caveat: watch this at your own peril. I was immediately hooked. Yes, it is addictive:

Dave, if this is deemed to be too OT, do whatever you wish with it, not that you need my permission…

For those of us who enjoy wooden boat porn, the Jamestown Distributors website has links to dozens of projects, large and small. It is a rabbit hole, though.

Just pointing out a wreak is a wreak, regardless of what species it is.

wreak? Perhaps a wreck is what you needed.

There really is no comparison of that boat to that
Frankenstein shotgun.

I was thinking more along the lines of both the boat and the gun being the kind of things that wreak havoc with a guys billfold.

Episode 19 featuring Steve Cross was my favorite. Cross is a highly intelligent eccentric from Georgia who furnished the Live Oak wood for building the ribs of Tally Ho. Cross cobbled together his lumber mill out of broken down fork lifts and other machinery. Live oak has a unique rot proof wood that is impervious to rot caused by moisture. It was used by the U.S. to build it's original frigates that fought the British in the War of 1812. Leo, the man who rebuilt the Tally Ho, has a gift of connecting with people who volunteered to help with the job over the years. Well worth seeing. Gil

Ed's shotgun is intact and likely still very much shootable.

But the Nutty Professor's Rock Island built Model of 1903 Springfield rifle went to pieces like a grenade after he made a reloading error that he isn't man enough to acknowledge.

That story was a very good example of why you should be extremely careful about who you take reloading advice from on the internet. The Prof did give some sound advice about shooting glasses that may save your eyesight after a catastrophic blow-up. Nothing like the voice of experience!
