Any one here know of a source for the above? There seems to be a shortage among the usual suppliers.

no, I've been looking too, but Track of the Wolf has some interesting alternatives that are probably the same things.

You might try thegunworks.com. They have had a few items I couldn’t find from totw, midway, or brownells.

I believe if you use rust bluing solution and don't boil the barrel (rust, card, rust, card, rust, card, etc.), when the color satisfies, kill the rust after the last carding by rubbing with an oily (regular, not penetrating oil) rag or dunking in oil tank if you have one. After curing a couple days, wipe dry; then you can use your favorite oil. Good luck, Mike

Track used to sell bluing and browning products made by Bill Young, iirc. They went under the name Waukon Bay. I believe Track may have bought out Bill's, brand. The stuff they are selling now uses the same bottles and nearly the same label. In any event, the bluing and browning solutions were identical except for the label, per Bill.
They worked well, although I thought they were a little on the strong side.

NTaxiarchis, Thanks for the tip. I was too slow in reaching them. I'll check out TOTW.
