I recently purchased a Savage Fox sxs 12ga. The serial number is 35164 and the grade is stamped BP. I cannot find any reference to an BP grade; therefore, any additional information regarding this specific grade is greatly appreciated.

I have my youthful sons look at the stamp and I am now confident it is SP! The stamp is a little worn making it look like BP! It also looks just like the photo you provided. Thanks so much! PS. If I could figure out how to post a photo, I’d do that.

The left barrel is stamped with a Z and the right barrel is stamped with a V.

It is in really really good shape and all original as far as I can tell. The guy I purchased it from was going to strip the entire thing and redo it; couldn’t let him do that.

Did you notice how the action fits into your right hand (if you are right handed) smoothly as you hold or carry it single handed?
