It's well, just OK. But in my book, anything with Sam Elliot, Ben Johnson and Buck Taylor, is worth watching.

Johnson was a very good actor, but it does look like they could have cast someone for the role that looked a bit more like the "real McCoy".

In 1980, when that movie was made, Jack Palance. Or a little later, Dennis Quaid.

Dennis Quaid today would have made a good choice then. But, Ben Johnson was good in anything I ever saw him in.

While he wasn't a great actor, Ben Johnson was an actual cowboy. The real deal. Rodeo champion.

I think Tombstone was a better movie overall than Wyatt Earp, but I prefer Quaid's portrayal of Holliday to Kilmer's. Kilmer's portrayal was just a bit too "Hollywood".
