For sale:
Winchester M12 originally produced in 1949 and later customized for trap shooting. It has a Simmons rib, Anton wood, and a mercury recoil reducer in the buttstock.
The Anton Monte Carlo buttstock (not his rollover cheek piece) and forend are tiger strip maple, with rosewood grip cap. It has very course skip-line checkering with plenty of overruns and over-sized Fleur de Lis. The stock finish is starting to show checking. The ventilated white line Pachmayer pad is hard as a rock due to age.
The metal was reblued (probably by Simmons) and show a fair amount of wear, particularly on the mag tube and the under side of the barrel along the forend, light pitting on all metal, but most noticeable on the matte surface on the top of the receiver. The front edge of the receiver has some deep scratches where someone tried assembling the gun without extending the mag tube far enough.
