BASS-PRO in St. Louis is selling Winchester 12 or 20 gauge promo ammo for $30/case tomorrow (Sunday) only. Their ordinary sale price is $44/case. Not the top grade, but good enough for practice and sporting clays. Two case limit per customer.

My reloads cost me more than that.

You mght want to check with other BASS-PRO stores to see if they have the same deal.

Shot is around $40.00 a bag now so any deal on loaded shells is worth looking at. Forty dollar shot loaded in one ounce shells is ten cents a shell. Twenty dollar shot loaded in one ounce shells is (sorry, WAS) a nickel a shell. The thirty dollar shells have twenty five dollars worth of shot in them if they are one ounce loads. Does this information help?

If I owned something with 1200bar or 1370bar proof I would look into that offer. I have to stick to Winchester and Fiocchi light, extra light target loads.

Shot for hunters and not for bbs chatters.
Not good for the chamber reamed Sterlingworths either.
I need a gun that'll shoot these high-powered sods.

Procure you a Browning Citori(possibly a H&K Fabarms double) and a flat of baby mags from firearmservice.com or Polymags from polywads.com and you will be set. If you can see it, you can neutralize it.

Folks on this board don't buy reamed out Sterlingworths. There was a dude who bought 20br with blown barrel, but he was not a poster here. The post came from his good pal who is a member here.
Local shop has just the thing for the promo shells. Sakaba 500 'MAGNUM' O/U with 76mm chambers in great shape for $450. I might even buy it just to throw into into flat-bottomed duck boat.

You could use it as a boat anchor, or to paddle with if you were stranded.
