Hey all, well, I've been told I look dumb, but never thought I was stupid....until now!
I recently picked up an AyA XXV BL for a very good price. It's in decent shape, but needs a stock refinsh and recheckering. So. I sent it off to Mark Larson (he does great work BTW). I didn't send the forend as it's in ok condition. Mark said to send it and he'd refresh the checkering for free.
So, I decided to take him up on his offer.
Here's were the stupid comes in.....I sent the forend to him via USPS Priority Mail! How stupid was I to send it USPS!
So, it's been a week with no update on when it will be delivered if at all.
I should have known better. Guess time will tell.
Thanks for hearing me out and my rant....makes you feel a bit better when you get something off your chest
Stay well my friends
Greg

Doesn’t a tracking number come with Priority Mail? I’ve found anytime I mail anything, and it makes no difference what destination, it takes 7-10 days to get there.

FWIW, I sell some stuff on eBay, as I get older, I fear I will drop dead, and my wife will have no idea what things are or what they are worth. I would say on average, one item out of five, temporarily disappears in the tracking process , you see “in transit to next facility” and no updates. Then all of a sudden, it pops up and is delivered. In the near 60 things we’ve sold, I’d say this happens again once in five, but if the 60 items, all have made it there eventually.

Of late, when shipping guns, I used USPS overnight service, truly expensive, but, the service comes with a money back guarantee and the damn thing gets there. They have ended up giving me my money back on several occasions when it took two days for the package to get where it was going. But, the package always gets there. Not much wiggle room in a 24 hour period, it would seem. Best, Ted

The USPS should have been outsourced. They are terrible.
