_____________________________ Ted, ever high side? High sided. Past tense. Yes. Destroyed helmet, leathers, gloves, boots and a 1995 600 Katana that the school disconnected the back brake on. Why would they do that? How did you not notice before hand? Can you explain how that caused the high side? _______________________________ Maybe we should go skiing instead.

Why would they do that? How did you not notice before hand? Can you explain how that caused the high side? _______________________________ Maybe we should go skiing instead. It didn’t cause the high side. In those days students typically got into trouble locking up the rear tire, and the school either introduced air into the hydraulics of the rear brake, or, disconnected it entirely. Everybody knew it and practiced for it before they got on the track. In the right set of circumstances, that will keep you from high siding. The high side was my fault, I missed my line right in front of the corkscrew, and came in way too hot into the large curb just in front of it. When you get on the brakes, hard, it stands the bike up, and depending on what is going on around you, there is a pretty good chance of a high side. The proper sequence is correct line, roll on the throttle, to establish correct load on the chassis and tires, and counter steer to get the bike at the right lean angle. You do need to brake and downshift before the corkscrew to get through it. I didn’t get that far. The big sweeper after the corkscrew is known as Rainey Corner. All the corners have way more runoff these days, much improved since the 1990s. Best, Ted ___________________________________________________ Hit your apex. Or, go skiing. With a motorcycle.

Lucky you weren’t on a liter bike. James probably would have had to hook you up to the Kevorkian machine. Anywho… Figured there’d be some profit taking in MSFT today and sold some 465 calls yesterday. Hit 466.80 just before the bell. Kinda hoping they got exercised. 463’ish after hours. Start selling puts on Monday if they did. You know the gap is going to fill. _______________________________ These are nice. Hey, I found a way to bring this back to double guns! Here's a SxS that could be used as a hockey stick. ![[Linked Image from d3j17a2r8lnfte.cloudfront.net]](https://d3j17a2r8lnfte.cloudfront.net/mai/2026/7/large/ARnaatlK4SmlB8Gj4S8PDdZw.jpeg)

I admit that I just bought a gun with a re-worked stock almost as bad as that. But it's a very nice Heinrich Scherping, almost a best gun, with prime engraving and fine long damascus barrels that were CIP nitro reproofed.

Geoff, now and then we need a moment of levity, and the chance to laugh at a fool. I volunteer to accept the role for this moment, for your collective entertainment. Here is the gun. I also got bore pics, condition very good plus. Chambers lengthened in 1969, and CIP nitro reproofed in Munich. https://egun.de/market/item.php?id=20428220

That gun worked well for someone, at some point. I couldn't hit the ground with it if I dropped it...

“…when I was younger, that I could get a second round off faster with my pump than they could with their gas automatics. That doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.” Ted S
Try and remember that when you’re railing around that track in NJ or you’ll end up eating another hay bail.
Ted, did you see the back wall of the garage in that Kawasaki link?

I’m a huge fan of modern brakes, modern rubber, modern suspension. Thought you might like the PBR sign. Did you upgrade the FJ with Öhlins? ______________________________ They’re all Muslin shawarma joints now. All the Polish moved to Oakland County. Polska! 🇵🇱
