CSMC has a few of their A Grade Savage Fox guns in 28 Ga. Listed as the SAVAGE - Fox, SxS, A Grade, C-Engraving, 28ga. 26" Barrels . I am looking at getting one. I know they arent a real Fox but based on the RBL with different receiver contours. I have an RBL 28 and its a great gun but I want a straight grip 28 for Woodcock. Anyone have any observations of input on these?

Sorry Brian but could there be a more unsavory bunch than the lads in New Britain? Yes and what about their "no return" policy? I find that policy a deal killer for anything they are trying to sell.

Their policy used to read, ”…and if we missed something, of course we will take the gun back”. New policy now. Go figure.

Brian, I must again apologize for hijacking’s your post. I should have started my own thread entitled, “Why I Hate CSMC”. Perhaps I will. That would be interesting Crying Bob. It would be even more interesting to also hear their version of the events. Sounds like some damage was repaired. Was it damage done by them, or done in shipping... perhaps due to poor packing or negligence on your part??? Was it professionally done and returned to their normal standards, or a shoddy job? There's always small claims court... if you actually had a valid case. Or there's crying.

If Tony would make a .410 with barrels at least four inches longer than these, maybe I would jump through his hoops.

I have always had good luck when dealing with Tony, including two M-21 multi barrel sets, a custom RBL, assorted small accessories, and repairs to non-CSMC shotguns.
