I’d say the weather was perfect. Fairly crowded Thursday. Friday it was packed with just a bit less Saturday. It’s evolving a bit with Rizzini and Guerini there. I would say there were a bit more Parker’s than normal and some o/u besides the two Italians. I want more English guns haha. By Saturday afternoon you could see a thinning out on the tables leading me to believe sales were decent . There were some Scott’s I had interest in when I took a quick browse on Thursday. When I went back they were gone.

It was great weather and attendance was good, especially on Friday and Saturday. I shot two events, the Scottish Round Action and the Main Event on Sunday.
There were lot's of guns to choose from and most dealers were ready to make deals. I came home with a 1907 Grant sidelever and a 1874 Dickson hammer gun. My friend bought a Boss sidelever hammer gun.

Hmmm. I was there Friday for the Dickson owner's group meet up and brought an 1875 hammer gun. I better check the case to make sure it's still in there smile

With only 3 responds to this tread, I am starting to think that the Southern is going ''down hill''.
I hope that I am ''Not Correct''

I 'll respond. I thought it was great as usual. There were plenty of vendors and inventory, and a lot of attendance from the various collectors groups especially Fox, Parker, LCS, etc. The opinion of people I speak to is that the SSxS is the only event of its kind that is not in decline.

Was the average age 75 or 85?

Definitely at least 85. You are asking about the guns, aren’t you?

I had family issues otherwise I would have been there. Mike, great choices, Grant, Dickson, wow. I had 2 friends there that almost got me to buy a high grade W 21 in 410. I wish I knew ahead of time Rizzini was going to be there.
