Interesting collection of images regarding the tariffs.
Skip the first page narrative and the makeup commercials wink
Business Insider leans left but the captions with the pics seem factual

Tariffs tariffs tariffs. Who has ever thought about them? Who thought they were even around anymore but just a thing of the past. Everyone was content not knowing about them until Trump brought them up. Everyone was perfectly content not knowing about them and the butt banging we take from every country. But try to even them out and the whole country goes hysterical thanks to the Trump hatred.

With the stock market down over 10% in just two days it would seem that a lot of people are concerned about tariffs. Damn Lesotho for butt banging us.

Yes indeed ksauers1, it all comes down to Trump hatred and TDS. Even if Trump fails miserably, he couldn't do any worse than the Democrats and RINO's who had the U.S. on an unsustainable path with a $37 Trillion deficit that goes up another Trillion every couple months. These were the idiots who were giving Social Security benefits to Illegals and dead people, and allowing them to vote. But the mentally ill Liberal Brain-trust here won't ever mention that.

Note carefully that the usual anti-gun Democrat supporting Libtards, who are deathly concerned about the roughly 10% Stock Market decline since Trump's inauguration, were all totally silent when the market declined 12.93% in one single day on 3/16//2020 under Joe Biden's watch.

The Doomsayers in the mainstream media are the same folks who brought us the false narratives about Trump being a Putin asset who overvalued Mara Largo to secure fraudulent loans. They lied about Trump's mental state, while conspiring to hide Biden's Altzheimer's and his status as a puppet. The same Libtards here called Trump a felon and were silent about Biden crimes and incompetence.

The biggest Liberal moron here is whining about the number of times Trump plays a round of golf, when it is well known that he also engages in working on the Nation's business on those days, and typically works 18 hour days... for zero salary. Yet he had no problem with Biden working part-time hours, needing a Nap Time most every afternoon, and also going months without a Press Conference or being totally silent when he was hiding on the beach for 3-4 day weekends... while someone else ran the country.

Lloyd is correct to be skeptical of the Leftist Fake News sources that are predicting disaster, and would be wise to pay close attention to who is whining here now. These are a microcosm of the types of Liberal Left Loons who have him seriously contemplating a move away from his adopted state of Colorado. These are the types who would cheer the burning of Tesla Dealerships, and also be critical of DOGE/Musk attempts to root out $100's of Billions in government waste, fraud, and corruption.

I remember a much worse Stock Market crash on Black Monday in 1987 when the Market fell 22.6% in a single day. I took a big hit initially, but on Day 4 of the crash, I called my stock broker and bought more stocks when things were down and much cheaper. Guess what? It all came back, and then went higher... under the steady hand of a Republican guy named Ronald Reagan. And if the Preacher had bought Moderna Stock back when he was lecturing us to "Trust the Science", he'd be down about 90-95% today. (I admit to getting two jabs, but when I saw the vaccinated still getting sick, and young people dying from 3 ft. blood clots, I decided the science was no longer trustworthy) I'm sleeping pretty well knowing Trump is back in charge. The only thing that disturbs that sleep is knowing that the Democrats and Globalists still would like to see him dead.

Take a couple more pulls on that bottle, craig. Shouldn't take much more to put you to sleep tonight.

You should tell that to my client who has several hundred thousand dollars worth of guns waiting to be imported from South Africa, he is looking at north of 60K in tariffs....he must just be fickle.

I have zero Trump hatred. I have a big hatred with what happened to my money in the stock market the last 2 days and it appearing that I am not going to be able to buy a car I planned on buying this summer unless this crap gets sorted out. No one wins a trade war. Ronald Reagan got it right.

PS. I'm not saying there should not have been something done about the imbalance in trade, but the method chosen of not targeting the biggest offenders wasn't thought out. The blanket approach showed poor planning coupled with poor execution. That's a double thud. I just hope a recalculation is in order and in order soon, or else its gonna get really ugly. No one likes ugly.

It’s only a loss if you sell, right now. The markets take the stairs up, and the elevator down, and panic drives bad decisions more often than not. Analysts were warning of a correction back before Thanksgiving. I’d be willing to bet it takes about two weeks for most of this to be behind us.

Most of the tariffs are not exactly reciprocal, they are running at about 50% of what we are paying. There is a reason for that. There simply is no other US market for the world to go to. China, a manufacturing powerhouse, is painfully aware of the fact they literally can not feed themselves. The poorer countries are lined up TODAY to renegotiate their tariff structure with the US. See Vietnam for an example.

The people with real money are picking up some bargains. You telling me you’ve never seen a downturn before?

Best,
Ted

It seems most of you live in the world of instant gratification. Do you think he can just snap his fingers and everything messed up in the last 4 years will be fixed? Do you think decades of imbalanced tariffs will be gone overnight? Especially when most of the people in the country didn’t even know there were any? And most of the people listen to the democrats propaganda media who are 100% negative on anything Trump does. Jeez, they are even against Trump trying to get rid of wasteful and corrupt spending of our money. Why don’t you all go to some activist radical judge and have them order a stay against anything and everything Trump. It’s 100% guaranteed they’ll rule against Trump. Maybe you should have all voted for Harris .
