A friend of mine just sent me an email stating that he just opened an old brick of Remington Thunderbolt .22 shells that have so much lead corrosion on them that they are jamming. He asked me about solvents/cleaners....Any suggestions other than emery clothing each one?... Thanks-Doug

Toss them. Buy a new brick, these will be a problem regardless.

Certainly wouldn't put any kind of solvent on them. It would possibly leach into the powder. I wouldn't hesitate to run them through a case polisher with dry media. Not having one of those, some steel wool and a bit of hand work could clean them up. My first choice would be Jim's suggestion. Toss 'em. They're cheap stuff anyway.
