How does the Cheditte Paper Hull compare to Fiocchi Paper Hull in terms of volume and construction? (I do not have access to any Fiocchi paper hulls to measure and compare)

I assume that data from the Fiocchi paper hull can be used to develop a load for the Cheddite hull to be sent for testing, am I wrong?

I came by several thousand 2.5 inch Cheditte paper hulls for which I would like some more reloading data options. I have several editions of the BP Cheditte manuals as well as their Advantages manual. I have been primarily using Federal Paper Hulls which is a lower volume hull than the cheddite and was curious if the Fiocchi is closer to the Cheditte as a starting point to develop a load.

I can’t speak about Fiocchi paper hulls, but I am on my third and most likely final loading of Cheddite 2&1/2” 12 gauge paper, initially purchased from BP. They are not as well constructed as Federal Papers and by this third loading many no longer hold a crimp and the walls are collapsing. The external paper covering has separated from a cardboard interior. No brass separation, even with a hefty self-opening SLE. Not sure they were worth the cost but I used up all my Fed. papers, and I do like the aromatherapy.

Good luck.

There is not a good paper shell made today.

The current Federal is a shadow of the Champion 2.

Paper shell with a plastic basewad is ridiculous.
