Elon Musk’s ‘crazy’ plan to rip $2 trillion out of America
Dressed all in black, Elon Musk let out a roar. At last week’s Madison Square Garden rally, the billionaire pointed to his black “Make America Great Again” cap proclaiming: “I am dark, gothic Maga.”

Once a self-described “socialist”, Musk has emerged as one of Donald Trump’s most prominent and strident supporters in the final few weeks of the US election campaign.

Addressing Trump’s New York rally, Musk called on the Republican to cut $2 trillion from the Federal budget under a Department of Government Efficiency (or Doge, a reference to the joke cryptocurrency). There have been talks about handing him a role running the department himself.

During Trump’s election campaign, the Republican nominee has repeatedly called for a dramatic reduction in the size of the state and austerity to cut government debt – something Musk has long voiced concerns about.

Democrats Warn That If Trump Is Elected It Will Be The End Of Bureaucracy As We Know It

U.S. — On the eve of a hotly contested presidential election, top Democrats warned the American people that if Trump is elected, it would likely be the end of bureaucracy as we know it.

The sobering news came as voters prepared to head to the polls tomorrow, with many prominent members of the Democratic Party issuing public pleas for people to turn out and defend the federal government's bureaucratic establishment from certain death.

"This is a truly dire situation," said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. "If Donald Trump gets back in office, there is a high risk that he will completely overhaul our failed, inefficient mess of a government — an outcome we can't afford to see become a reality. We need your help to keep this bloated, rotting carcass of the federal bureaucracy in power at all costs."

Other Democrats agreed that another Trump presidency would likely spell doom for lucrative but wasteful government programs, with increased efficiency and reduced tax revenue taken in by the government would have a devastating effect on their ability to become wealthy. "Our system of government has never faced a more imminent threat," said Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi. "The days of elected officials getting rich from kickbacks, secret bribes, and insider trading may be over. Serving the public should never be the motivating factor for entering public service. I fear for our nation… and my life."

At publishing time, Democrats also warned that electing Trump may result in the terrifying prospect of the federal government operating more efficiently while spending far less money.

I am 71 years old, and I called Social Security last week because the online system had not yet produced the document I requested. They were too busy so the automated system said I could ask for a callback. When I received that call they asked me for identifying information, my SS number, my address, my mother's maiden name, all I gave, but I was wrong and therefore they couldn't help me, and I would need to go to my local office. At the local office, today, they said they had a (former) P.O. Box for my address instead of the one I have had for the last 50 years. Getting rid of bureaucracy and giving authority back to the states sounds good to me. Why does the federal government need to take tax dollars from a state and then tell that state how to run their schools after siphoning off the money to pay the federal employees?

Brent, if I'm not mistaken Stan said this "May God help us get to the place where Musk and Trump can do so." 'how did you get "May God helps get to the place where Musk can do so." Are you getting dyslexia?

laugh laugh. You would think that being in Govt funded Academia and using the same board software daily for 20-40 yrs would allow a basic level of competency.

EM will target Education to be downsized.

Based on the "prof" frequent misspellings, potty mouth, rote repetition of Marxism and his sad level erudition, it should be.

Education downsized.....talk about DAF, that is it.

Maybe education should be for only the very wealthy?

Something sure is sad, maybe take a look in the mirror Kolar Dickson because you are certainly very sad. What, no comment on his elderly dog? You add nothing positive to the board.

You would think that a basic sense of self esteem would cause someone who chooses to remind the world that they are a past professor would initiate spell checking and accuracy of content. But, obviously not. We all make errors in grammar and writing occasionally, but we don't constantly remind the forum that we are a spelling bee contest winner, or made straight A(s) in English, or have won trophies for the debate team.

And, if he continues to tag his name with a reminder that he's using that title "just for Stan", don't believe it for a minute. He was using that tag line far before he and I ever "crossed up" on here. I just gave him a "greater reason".
