I am much more a SxS guy but discussing with a friend and he says the K20 will outlast the MX20 by far. I thought the wedges on sides of barrels on P gun fit snugly behind bosses inside frame and take up load. Since the K 20 doesn't have these I thought the Perazzi is far stronger. Opinios?

I have two, Perazzi MX20 and a MX/8 20 gauge. Never had issues with either. There is a reason why they call Perazzi " The Ferarri of Italian guns"

I have a couple of K80s and a Kolar which has draws, wedges and a boss lock system like a perazzi. My shooting buddies shoot perazzis. MX2000, High tech and mx8s
-All are low profile handle recoil exceptionally well. Nod to perazzi and my parcours as the best.
-K80 can handle any amount of high shell volume. Hard to imagine a better design. Metallurgy is first rate. For 3-4 hundred, you can have it rebuilt to factory spec.
-Kolar- The boss lock up, think this is a million round gun. Think Perazzi 3.0. Better design. The tolerances are aerospace level. They are in the middle of upgrading the sears to a2 steel. Coil springs, not leaf. Same with rebuild. heavy.
-Triggers on both k guns are the best. Mechanical.
-Perazzi- Ribs have had to be rewelded on two guys guns. They fell off. Ejector has ridden over shells. First double fire I have ever seen. Scared the shit out of the owner. Leaf springs on some can break with alarming regularity. Of course you can get coil. Inertia trigger.
I recommend a Blaser F16 for game o/u. Lite, quick, basically a Woodward o/u. Lowest profile of any factory o/u. Made in Germany with mechanical, dropout triggers and a twin of the famous Merkel forearm.
They released 20 g barrels on a 12g frame this month.I am going to add a set, no fitting needed.

Have shot Kolars, Kreighoffs, Berettas, Valmets ........multiple ones. I have owned an MX8 for many years. Given the occasional rib issues with the P gun, I'd still choose it over any K gun I ever shot ......... and I'd add the Blaser to that list. Nothing handles like a Perazzi, IMO. If I could not own a Perazzi I'd go to Blaser, not Kreighoff. I'd rather shoot a Beretta in competition than a K gun. Kreighoffs handle "clunky" to me.

The Krieghoff parcour guns don't seem klunky. Ever tried one of those? I think I read somewhere that Kreighoff is now the most popular sporting gun. Like you, I shoot a Perazzi. The Zoli subgauge Z-sport guns seem pretty nice and much less expensive than a P gun or K gun.

No, I haven't Buzz. If I do it may indeed change my perception. Thanks for your suggestion. All Zolis, Guerinis, etc. are stocked too high for me. If I shot one I'd have to have it custom stocked for me.

try a K-20 Stan. It’s everything the K-80 isn’t.

Not a parcours. Very nimble. So nimble that they came up parcours x, slightly heavier Most new k80s are parcours or parcours x
Parcours is 8lbs with a 3lb 32 inch barrel. All of these you can custom balance with weight systems.
I agree on the old k80s. My sporter is fixed choke, back bored, custom stocked and the gun is lively, well balanced at 8lbs 7oz. Factory was 8lbs 12 oz. I bought it to mimic a 203 merkel 32" I had at the time. But as I aged, I had to thin it down a bit.
One thing I will say is the new Krieghoff stocks LH or RH are phenomenal and very diferent than the old ambi dual palm swell with neutral cast
They are state of art with parallel offset, Adj comb, weight system. Zero recoil. They say Krieghoff was tired of looking at all the custom stocks that would come in during service calls and f it, we have to up our game.
Kolar stocks have the best dimensions and wood quality is spectacular. One of my kolar stocks has a twisted sister toe out. So comfortable. Parallel off set.
I shot with a perazzi guy yesterday and the wood was almost as bad as brent's home depot lumber merkel.
Brandon Powell is on a tear and has won basically every major comp with his parcours including beating DIgweed, his hero.

I know Brandon and have handled his gun. It is very light weight.....I would guess 8 lb and maybe 2-4 oz (although I didn't weigh his gun). I have a light weight MX8 that Brandon shot and he loved it. It weighs 8 lb 2 oz and balances similar to Brandon's K80 Parcour gun.

Beretta was mentioned. A Beretta (DT11) was used to win 14/15 medals at the Paris Olympics. The bronze medal winner in women's trap shot a Perazzi and prevented the Beretta sweep. Some may argue it's still not the gun to match the quality of a Perazzi, Kolar, or K-gun, but apparently, it's good enough.
