I like this one, but, pretty much already know it is a bit too light for me to be consistent with:

https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...gun-only-5-lb-6-oz-.cfm?gun_id=102730961

The cyanide colors are like new, the safety is the push button, not reversible, but, generally preferred by those who write and shoot with the right hand, it has a swamped rib and, noting the light weight, I’d bet no under rib. I like the tone of the fairly plain wood and the straight stock. The barrels are the short version, it has 2 3/4” chambers that were proofed the same as 3” guns. The chokes are open and set for a guy who hunts for grouse and woodcock. It is uncommon to see a James Wayne R10 in 20 gauge set up like this-think semi-pistol grip, and tight chokes with a game rib. Seen a million of them like that.

Typically, the butt plates are shrunk a bit at this juncture in time, and this one is no exception.

I have no connection to this gun, but, would have been all over it 20 years ago.

Best,
Ted

Those Winchester Model 50s were nice guns. I got my first rabbit with one years ago. I swapped it off for a Winchester Super X. That was a sweet gun, too!
