I posted this on one forum under a different topic but thought it might be worth sharing in a broader way on a couple of different gun forums.

If you are searching for firearms and hunting books (or any book for that matter) that are out of print, go to http://www.addall.com as the very best way to locate them at the best prices. I am an antique dealer and this is how I find all my reference books for my business that are not recently published.

Addall.com is a search engine that searches 20 other used book web sites and displays all results from all of them in one place. You can sort by price and several other ways. Go there and click on the "used" book search in the tab.

Sometimes I even check for a new book there using their new book search tab to see if someone has a better price than amazon.com on a new book (if the one I want on amazon doesn't qualify for free amazon super-saver shipping).

Hope you will all find this site usefull to many of you. It has been absolutely great for my sourcing of books.

Hereward books and Major Ian Grahame,Fine sporting and natural history books, both in the U.K. are excellent sources. Both have web sites that show their inventory and prices. If you make a purchase you should allow $25 for mailing per volume.

I think you need to do a little price shopping on your book buys.

I've never failed to beat the price on any book listed by addall, by going t o this online source http://www.abebooks.com/?cm_ven=ggl&...CFRfOggodinN4DA

I buy a lot of books and recommend that you look at both places before you buy.

Well, thank you very much.
I've been checking around for the OOP Mills and Barnes book, Amateur Gunsmithing, for a while. Usually not available or costs more than $250. Just ordered for $61. + shipping. Once I searched by ISBN I got a bunch of listings.

BIG AL,
The Addall search included Abes. Abebooks was who I used, and they were sourcing from an outfit in the UK.

Yes I know they source through all including Abe. Addall was given to me by a book dealer friend of mine and I have yet to find the same book listed by addall that was not higher than the same book when you find it on Abe. I have for many years had to keep an annual book buying budget, so I have found that I have to price shop more than I would like to do.
